Tip: We understand this is a lot to gather. Please take your time, and only submit once all documents are ready. The faster you provide all information needed, the faster we can move forward. Once we receive your complete package, we will provide an indication of the interest rate and terms you can expect to receive. Your package will be submitted for approval within 1-10 days in most cases.

Required documentation

The documents required along with your application depends on the type of funding you’re requesting and the way you apply. Pick your method below.

Gather digital copies of the following supporting documentation. Then, use Gateway Bank’s secure portal to apply online for a loan or line of credit.
Disclosures and terms of service

Please review the following disclosures before sharing your information:

For all loans and lines of credit:

  • Copies of two forms of identification on all individuals
  • Most recent W-2(s)
  • Most recent pay stub(s) for a 30-day period
  • Last three year-end personal federal tax returns, signed and dated, with all schedules and K-1s

For home equity line of credit (HELOC):

  • Appraisal Notice (permission to conduct appraisal)
    This form is not included in the online application and must be submitted separately.
  • Appraisal report and title

For real estate, bridge & construction loans:

  • Appraisal Notice (permission to conduct appraisal)
    This form is not included in the online application and must be submitted separately.
  • Take-out letter from mortgage lender
  • Legal description of the property & Purchase Agreement
  • Copy of construction contract/plans and specs, cost estimate, fixed price construction contract, and permit
  • Proof of liability/hazard insurance, including course of construction coverage
  • Copies of receipts for any prepaid construction costs
  • Appraisal report and title

Personal trusts

  • Certificate of Trust or copy of Trust Agreement
  • If trust files a separate tax return: last 3 years of federal tax returns with all schedules and K-1s
  • Current trust financial statement
